Polycrystalline Mullite Fiber
PMF (Polycrystalline Mullite Fiber) is the newest international ultra-lightweight and high-temp insulation material,
consisting of mullite microcrystals, integrating the properties of crystalline and fiber material. It has superb thermal
stability, whose use tempreture is 1600℃, melting point is 1840℃. Its thermal conductivity is a sixth of traditional
firebricks, but the bulk density as little as 1/25 of traditional ones. So it is an ideal material to save energy and
raise productivity for high-temp kilns.
It is widely applied to industrial stoves and other heating equipment in metallurgy, machinery, electronics, ceramics,
chemicals, aerospace as thermal insulation lining, achieving the purpose of saving energy, raising productivity,
and prolonging the furnace’s service life.
It is white, springy, soft, like cotton.
