Floamed ceramics filter block for non-ferrous casting(filter block for short) is a most effective filter for liquid metal,
made by using silicate ceramics as raw material with high temperature sintering, interconnecting with open-type
and three-dimensional network structure, which can effectively filter out the solution in the molten metal and let it fill
the die space without turbulence.

The foam filters are used to iron cast, steel cast, copper cast, aluminum alloy cast. The filters provide an efficient
solution for the removal of oxides and non-metallic particles from a broad range of non-ferrous metals.
Applications include sand casting, investment casting, shell casting, low-pressure die casting, permanent mould casting,
holding and transfer systems. The advantages include ease of operation, energy savings and low cost.

Application

1. It can be used for filtration and purification of copper casting and aluminum casting, also for filtration and purification
of nonferrous metallurgy, copper product and aluminium product before ingot casting.

2. Make molten metal flow into the die space smoothly so that it doesn't splash and produce vortex, and finally
prevent spiracle in the casting .

3. Improve casting surface quality, reduce the defective rate, particularly for copper and aluminum castings which need to polish.
4. Choose suitable ceramic materials, physical dimension (shape and size) and pore size according to different alloys,
fit for purification and filter of diffferent casting methods, such as sand mold, metal mold, ceramic mold, continuous
casting and semi-continuous casting, also used for gas filter of diesel engine exhaust , burning plate of fuel
gas&energy-saving stove.
